Red Gate Farms

Inspired by blooming spring florals and the natural beauty of Savannah, RyLee and Christopher hosted their gorgeous springtime wedding in The Grainery at Red Gate Farms. From the romantic color palette to the bride’s stunning dress, every detail came together seamlessly to create a perfect day for the couple.

The Proposal

Christopher dreamed up elaborate plans for how he would pop the question. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic getting in the way, he found himself back at the drawing board again and again. Christopher ultimately decided the most important part of the engagement would be to completely surprise RyLee. After picking up the engagement ring from the jewelry store, Christopher suddenly found himself overcome with anticipation. As soon as he returned home, 45 minutes later, he got down on one knee, before RyLee and surrounded by their three precious pets. Needless to say, Christopher’s plan was successful. RyLee was delightfully surprised and, above all, was thrilled to start the rest of her life with her soulmate. At first, the pandemic kept the couple from celebrating with their loved ones in person, but that didn’t stop their family and friends from showering them in love with scrapbooks and heartfelt videos.

The Dress

Just like many brides, Rylee had a vision of what her dream wedding dress would be. She fell in love with the idea of a gown inspired by Savannah’s alluring Spanish-moss draped trees, complete with a nice fit and a beautiful train, but she felt disheartened when she couldn’t find anything just right while browsing online. Little did she know she would find her perfect wedding dress after trying on just two gowns while visiting Bridals by Lori in Sandy Springs, GA.

The off-the-shoulder dress donned with floral appliques, intricate detailing, and a stunning cathedral train was everything she dreamed of and more.

The Wedding Details

RyLee chose lavender and silver for her wedding color palette, which couldn’t have been more perfect for the springtime affair! Her six bridesmaids donned gowns in the gorgeous hue while Chris’s eight groomsmen wore matching grey suits, with their lavender ties lending a perfect pop of color to the look. When it came time for the wedding to begin, RyLee’s father walked her down an aisle showered in gorgeous, delicate petals of lavender and white.

The Venue

Ever since she could remember, Rylee had dreamed of marrying the man of her dreams underneath the shade of a sprawling oak tree. So when she first visited The Grainery at Red Gate Farms, she was struck by the beauty of a 300-year-old oak tree and knew she had found the perfect venue for her dream wedding.

“The Grainery had the tree that was exactly what I imagined that I would be married under.”

She also found that The Grainery’s reception venue, with its restored industrial-chic design, was the ideal place for the couple to dance the night away with their friends and family following the ceremony. With romantic and delicate fairy lights hanging overhead at the reception, the guests were dazzled as if they were celebrating under a night sky filled with twinkling stars.

The Memories

After such a perfect and beautiful celebration, Rylee and Christopher cherish so many memories as they reflect on their wedding day. But, for the couple, the moments they hold dearest to their hearts are the most sentimental aspects of the day. For Rylee, she will never forget her first dance with her father after becoming a married woman. And, of course, Rylee will always cherish the look on Christopher’s face when he first saw her as she walked down the aisle.
