At Red Gate Farms, we know that the moments before your big day help set the tone for the rest of your celebration. That’s why we offer beautifully updated dressing rooms at our venue to allow you and your soon-to-be-spouse designated spaces to prepare for the day ahead with a sense of ease and convenience. When you book our venue, you’ll receive three hours (with the option of adding more time) before your ceremony in two of our dressing rooms. Here are just a few of the many benefits you’ll enjoy with a space to get ready on-site for your special day.
Proximity
What could be better than being just a few steps away from your ceremony? Not only will you avoid the stress of having to coordinate transportation for your entire wedding party, but you will also lessen any risk that your perfectly primped hair or makeup will be affected by the outdoor humidity. When you choose to have your wedding at The Grainery, your venue fee includes three hours of getting-ready time in our charming Belle Tower. Couples hosting their weddings at The Barn receive access to two dressing rooms that are actually attached to the venue itself. As a result, couples can walk right out of their dressing rooms, across the barn, and straight down the aisle to their happily ever afters. It doesn’t get much more convenient than that!
Photography
Many couples opt for their photographers to stop by as they’re getting ready to help document the intimate moments leading up to the ceremony. Our charmingly decorated Belle Tower, which includes a traditional wrap-around porch and is flooded with natural light, is a wedding photographer’s dream. The Barn’s dressing rooms were part of Red Gate Farms’ dairy operation. Each room served a distinct function, one as the milk storage and pasteurization room and the other as the milking room, with the structures dating back to the 1930s. Both have been gorgeously renovated to make for the most beautiful backdrop for wedding day photos you will surely cherish for years to come. Not only will your photographer be able to capture memorable moments between you and your wedding party, but they will also be able to grab stunning photos of your wedding attire, jewelry, invitations, and other intricate details.
Amenities
Our spacious dressing rooms are beautifully outfitted with everything you may need to properly prepare for the special day ahead. If you and your wedding party are getting ready in the Belle Tower, you’ll have access to the entire second floor of the elegant Southern-style home, including a full kitchen to help you fuel up and hydrate for the day’s festivities. The Barn hosts “Steadwell’s Lounge,” which comes complete with a leather couch, television, vintage bar, and decor from Red Gate Farm’s time as a competitive horse barn. It is the perfect place for the wedding party to relax before the ceremony. The other dressing room includes stunning floor-length mirrors, swivel chairs, and ample counter space for all of the hair tools and makeup you and your group may need to complete your beautiful wedding day looks!
